HERE ARE SOME OF MY PROJECTS:
TRAVEL WRITING
Cool Cites is a German travel app & website that serves as a visual guide to the hippest hotels, restaurants, cafés, clubs, bars, lounges, & shops in major world capitals such as London, Berlin, Miami, Barcelona, Rome, & New York. In my work as a freelance travel writer for this popular app, I covered hip new places to eat, drink, visit, & sleep in Miami.
I am writing the script for a documentary film about the history of the Women in Development movement to be called Disparate Threads. This film represents 10 years of archival research and numerous oral history interviews and will document how women around the world changed the face of international economic development policy in the 1970s.
On this project, I served as Gengler's research assistant, combing numerous archives, gathering oral histories, and organizing scholarly articles.
TEACHING & TUTORING
For twelve years, I taught the University of Florida and Santa Fe College in both the traditional classroom setting and online. I taught U.S. history, women's history, cultural anthropology, and intercultural communication. This experience allows me to not only tutor across many of the social science disciplines but also to serve as an effective writing coach. I also teach a variety of writing workshops.

ACADEMIC PUBLISHING
On this project, I transcribed many of Anna Dickinson's Civil War era letters. In doing so, I gained invaluable experience deciphering old handwriting, a skill that aids in my genealogical work.
On this project, I reviewed and summarized some of the oral history interviews of participants in the controversial presidential election of 2000.
TEXTBOOK PUBLISHING
For this new & innovative textbook, I served on the Board of Editorial Advisors in which we discussed issues such as writing, layout, photos, and marketing strategies. I also edited and fact-checked several chapters.
PRIVATE CIENTELE
I have worked with private clients in numerous capacities including the following: research; tutoring; genealogy; conducting oral history interviews and transcription of those interviews; ghostwriting; cover letter editing; writing business brochures; web design; creating website content & marketing copy; blog posts; social media campaigns; newsletters; college application essays; and serving as a writing coach for students ranging from middle school to graduate school.
