Generative Writing

In this weekly Generative Writing Workshop, we will write alongside each other from a specific prompt and then explore the direction that prompt leads for each writer. The goal of this ongoing workshop is to create a community of writers who generate new writing in a supportive environment. We write. We read. We discuss. Living in the DC Metro area tends to make everyone busy, making it difficult to find time to write. This workshop is a little oasis in the city where you can disappear completely into your writing once a week. Bring your ideas, your pen, and your paper.This is an old school, technology free workshop where the ideas are central. In this 1.5 hour workshop, we will spend the first half hour discussing our writing and then write to two different prompts. Discussion will follow the writing. Writers of all genres are welcome.
