Creative Nonfiction is one of the fastest growing genres in the publishing world. Its writers seek to tell compelling stories in a creative, literary manner through a variety of forms - essays, short stories, novels, articles, memoir, travel writing, or poetry. In this workshop, you will learn how to write the fundamentals of creative nonfiction - scenes and stories - as well as how to fit them into the overall structure of your work. You will also learn how to choose a subject and conduct research. Each of five two-hour sessions in this workshop will be divided evenly between writing and discussing our developing work. The goal of this workshop is to have a polished chapter at the end of five sessions that will be a springboard for a larger project.
