Travel Writing

This workshop will introduce participants to the art and practice of travel writing. You will hone your travel writing skills and discover how to write compelling and polished stories that stand out in the travel writing world. You will explore the various types of travel writing, learn how to identify amazing travel destinations and stories, and how to conduct riveting interviews. You will also learn how to find your travel writing voice and innovative story angles as well as how to captivate readers through vividly descriptive prose ranging from haunting to hysterical. Over the course of 5 weeks, you will write articles and receive professional editorial feedback and tips on how to pitch and sell your articles to magazines, newspapers, and blogs.
