The Short Story

Are you interested in writing short stories, but don't know where to begin? In this workshop, you will learn how to develop ideas for short stories, the makings of a strong beginning that will engage your reader, structuring and pacing, and how to write a compelling ending. You will also learn how to tighten your prose while creating beautifully rendered characters. This workshop will consist of five 2-hour sessions. The first session will be dedicated to learning the craft of short story writing and brainstorming ideas.  In the next three sessions, we will workshop drafts with the goal of having a final draft for polishing in the last session.
